My Fish from PpinkyDolls

Last week of the month, so Twisted Thursday is an anything goes week. Our sponsor this month was PpinkyDolls. I love this image called My Fish.
The background is a large Recollections stamp embossed with white and then blended over with Distress Inks. I used the texturing technique on the fish using Copic blender over a piece of terry cloth and dabbed over the colored image. The image is fussy cut and popped up over another die cut waves and ribbon.

By the Sea

The optional twist this week on Twisted Thursday is By the Sea. Our sponsor is PpinkyDolls, and I selected a digital stamp called Hippocampus.
I used Gina Marie circle stitch die, Paper Smooches leaves, and Nuvo Crystal Drops for water droplets.

Flowers, Lace, and a Sweet Clown

This month at Twisted Thursday, we have PpinkyDolls as our sponsor. This week's optional twist is Flowers and Lace! The sweet image I selected is called Clown.

I used two different flower pattern papers from My Mind's Eye paper pad, Happy Day. The lace on the top and bottom is from my stash as is the flower that I made long ago, so I don't remember which set was used to cut it. I added a soft yellow pearl to the center.

Paper Smooches Roses Against a Distress Oxide Background

My collection of Paper Smooches stamps and dies is growing. This month, on the Paper Smooches Challenge, it's all about flowers! I love flowers and had to have this die called simply Roses. I prepared a background panel using Distress Oxide inks with a stencil, sprayed with water, to top it. The sentiment was die cut from the Hugs & Kisses, The Hugs is popped up, and the second part of the sentiment is inside the card. Finally, I added some of my newest favorite embellishment, clear Gumdrops from Your Next Stamp and a simple gold thread.

Thank you so much for stopping by.

Missing You

The Bloobel Progressive Challenge on Facebook for May brings us "Bored at Work". However, being a hopeless romantic, I saw a man thinking of his love.
I made my own sentiment bubble with Word.  I love the background piece. It is Distress Oxide Inks with a wet stencil laid over and then removed.

Circus Elephant

This month at Twisted Thursday, we have PpinkyDolls as our sponsor. Always fun. And, this week's optional twist is Circus! The image I selected is called Circus Elephant.
The base is from a Darice Snow Globe die, oval and triangle dies from Paper Smooches, Simon Says border waves for blue scallop, and polka dot banner die from C.C. Designs. Papers are from Echo Park, Fine and Dandy pack. The image was popped and a "crowd" was added with Copics. The finishing touch was to add some Nuvo Crystal Drops.

Chicken Run in Blue

This month over at The Outlawz, the Progressive Freebie image comes to us from Di's Digis. Such a cute image to work with! It is called Chicken Run.
I used my newest favorite technique for the background. An embossed , colored with Copics on the debossed areas, and swiped over with Distress inks. I added a piece of Washi tape in blue to match the little bird. The bird was textured with corduroy and colorless blender with the addition of Copic Multiliners. I added a bit of clear gel pen to the feet, beak, and chocolate frosting.

If you're not part of this group, please do join us. We always have such great sponsors offering us nice images to work with, and once you participate one month the images are free for as long as you continue to post monthly to the group!
