Every Flower - From the Heart

This week is an anything goes over at The Outlawz, Twisted Thursday. I loved the simplicity of this row of flowers from our sponsor, From the Heart Digital Stamps. I made a background by stamping texture stamps with white embossing powder. After melting the powders the areas were rubbed with Distress Inks. The red strip is washi tape, and the butterfly and white flowers are from Heidi Swap. The image, called Every Flower, was colored with Distress Markers and highlighted with white acrylic paint pen. The centers of the flowers have a bit of Wink of Stella added. The paper was also rubbed with matching Distress inks. The sentiment also comes from From the Heart, Sick Chick set.

Birthday Candle Birdbrain

Something Funny is the optional twist this week at Twisted Thursday, The Outlawz. I found a Birdbrain image, Birthday Candle Birdbrain, from our sponsor, From the Heart, that has just the funniest expression! It also comes with several different sentiments.
The background is done on watercolor cardstock. It has several shades of Distress Inks blended and then spattered with Heidi Swap Color Shine in gold. I added a silver die cut shape, some waxed twine,  and some blue flat pearls.

Hamlet the Golfing Pig

From the Heart, i {heart} card sketches w/ a tWiSt #159 offered a sketch and an optional twist make a gate fold. This week, I did not do the gate fold but followed the sketch. I selected this fun image, Hamlet PigWit In the Rough, which includes the sentiment. I have a lot of golfing friends who would appreciate a card like this! The stitched circles come from Gina Marie Designs.

Lighthouse from Laurian Macdonald

The Freebie/Progressive Challenge over at The Outlawz has this lovely lighthouse image from Laurian Macdonald. Such a fun image to color. I have always loved lighthouses! The background was done with Distress inks to make the sky and clouds. I added a couple of star brads just for a bit of textural interest on top of the map paper from The Paper Studio, Uncharted paper pack.

Christmas in July

Christmas in July! What fun is that? That's the optional twist over at Twisted Thursday, The Outlawz. Our sponsor, From the Heart Digital Stamps, has lots of winter and holiday snowmen to choose from. This one is called Snowman Drummer and I love it because two of my sons (I have four.) are drummers!
I made an easel card , used Gina Marie Designs dies for cutting shapes, added some Snow-Tex, and some gold stars.

Time for the White Rabbit

Challenge #23 over at Twofers is Clocks and/or Time. I selected this sweet stamp set, Gorjuss The White Rabbit for my card. The grass was done with Tombow markers over the stamp. The "sun" was stamped using Momento Dandelion ink and a huge flower stamp with the center covered before stamping. The sky is Broken China Distress Ink. And, the rest is done with Copic Markers. I did add some Slicci gold pen and a bit of Spectrum Noir Sparkle to the clocks.
