Outlawz Twisted Thursday Challenge With a Ppinkydolls Image

I am honored to have been invited to be part of the Design Team over at The Outlawz' Twisted Thursday group. I love that this group is always "anything goes" with a twist. That means I can do cards, tags, art journal pages, etc. I can play with Zentangle, paints, markers and anything else I can come up with. What more could anyone ask?

So, here is my first entry for this where the twist (that you don't even HAVE to use) is an easel card. Please pop over and look at all the different challenges that The Outlawz offer. You will find one or more that will make you very happy. They also have LOTS of great prizes. Check out our Facebook page too, The Outlawz Challenge Fan Group.

This digi stamp comes from Ppinkydolls.l. I just love all their images!

Stampotique Prom Queen - Think Happy

One last post for today. The challenge, for Paper A La Mode, from Saturday's Outlawz group, is Anything Goes. I like that. Anything!! Well, here is my anything. Not pretty I suppose, but it sure makes me smile!

Claudia Loves Christmas - Me TOO!

For the Friday Coloring Challenge over at The Outlawz (who are still having a party, do go check it out!) we were to "make a scene." I really like this little Claudia Loves Christmas stamp from Little Miss Muffett, so I put her in a bit of a festive woodland environment. The card base, from the dollar bin at Michael's, already had the pennants cut out. I added some green paper behind. I used my air brush and copics to add the blue dots and the yellow top. I added some fun die cuts and snowflake embellishments too.

Relaxin' Tag by Stampotique

I've joined yet another group on The Outlawz, and this one is Thursday Twist! This is an Anything Goes but with a twist. This week, because of the party, the anything goes means you can do two things. I will do two posts because I think you need a different URL for each? Not sure, but that's what I will do. I bought this stamp, Relaxin, because I HAD to have it. I got it from Stampotique. This is a tag that I made with it. She is colored in Copics with just a touch of gel pen.The background is splatted inks. Added a bit of Washi tape, a die cut florish, and a few dots. Black pen for the "Wassup?"

Dee Dee's Digi, FREE This Week Only

If you are following me, I'll bet you wonder why I am posting every day, and today twice! Well, I am taking part of the Outlawz party, so I have a lot to do. One of the challenges was to do a card with a freebee from Dee Dee's Digis. It comes with fully colored images, outline images, sentiments and pretty papers.
This one uses the template suggested by the challenge. I added some gold gel pen and white gel pen.
Colors Used
For the second one, just for fun, I used the cake so I could color with my Copics, and I printed out the papers and sentiment as well. I added some yellow dots, wink of steel and clear gel pen. The cake is on tall foam dots. Edges done with mowed lawn.

Peggy from Whimsy Stamps

Keeping busy playing with new layouts. This layout came from The Outlawz Wednesday Sketch Challenge. Do go over and join their party!
This is a Whimsy Stamp by Wee Stamps called Peggy. I had previously colored her waiting for just the right layout to add her to. The strips of paper in the background are cut from a gelli print. I embossed the card front itself and also the pink scalloped die cut oval.

House Mouse Baby Blocks on White

Another chance to play with my House Mouse stamps! I had fun working with a specific color palate for the mice and then moving over to layers of white that included some embossed papers, ribbon, lace, paper flower, a button and some pearls. (Oh, and a touch of Wink of Stella on the flower petals.)
The top on one block and part of the top mouse are fussy cut and raised with foam dots.

Just wanted to let you know (kind of proud), that I have been selected to be a guest designer over at House Mouse and Friends for November and December because I my card was selected as a winner for this month. I won for my Gingerbread Man card. So be sure to watch for those cards to show up. I certainly do love doing those House Mouse stamps!

Have a Cupcake - CAS (Clean and Simple)

Today I made a CAS, Clean and Simple, with a cute little Penny Black stamp called Sweet Thing. I added a bit of Wink of Stella and gel pen in yellow and clear. I used a die to cut her out with scallops, raised her and the black embossed sentiment with foam dots, and placed them both on an embossed (The Paper Studio) green paper with a simple purple ribbon. The edges of everything, including the white stock card, were buffed with VersaMark in purple.

C.C. Designs, by Jennifer Dove, Cardinal With Some Flowers

I loved this Cardinal stamp the moment I saw him. He is a design by Jennifer Dove for C.C. Designs. I used the colors suggested by the Outlawz' Friday Color Challenge from Design Seeds. The flower stamp comes from Viva Las Vegas Stamps where I recently had the pleasure of pouring through tons and tons of stamps. Used ones were only $2.00 each!

I used Copics R 46-49, YR 18, Y 0000-02-05, YG 01-11, G 43, W1-5-7 and 100 (Black). White Signo Uni-ball white for eyes, a splash of Wink of Stella on the flowers, and Peeled Paint Distress Ink for edges.

Think Pink for Cancer Awareness Month

Since October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, several sites are asking for cards done in this vein. I'm sure most of us have friends and/or relatives who know how important this is and how we should do for ourselves and encourage others to do their self-exams and have regular mammograms. Think PINK everyone!

Celebrating World Postage Day with a Meljen's Design

Over at the Outlawz Friday Coloring Challenge, the prompt was "World Postage Day"! I really had to think hard on this one. It is getting more and more difficult to find stamps that I already own for challenges and, well, the budget does slow me down a little (very little actually, but enough is enough sometimes HAHA).
I really had a lot of fun with this one. I used a stamp from Meljen's Designs and, after coloring it with my Copics B63, BV17, BV13m YR16, and BG000 (just had to use my new Hydrangea Copic. I LOVE the color). Then, I made a small white envelope. You could really put your own little letter to a friend when you're ready to send it. The letter will slide in and the flap will close for fitting the completed card into a larger envelope. I also cut carefully around the heart and made some little letters that stick out so it looks like the birdies are delivering the mail. The top portion of the birds and the sentiment are popped up. Some greens, a few orange dots, and all ready to go into the post.
Entered in Crafting with Dragonflies also.

Alice in Wonderland with a Sweet Pea Stamp

Who could resist an Alice in Wonderland challenge? Not me. I LOVE anything Alice, but I had to search to find a "dark" version. (I used to play the computer game of Alice that was wickedly evil!) Anyway, I found this one at Sweet Pea Stamps. I also added some Sakura Gel in clear to her bow, eyes, and lips. Love that stuff! It adds just a touch of shine.

CAS - Clean and Simple Celebrate YOU!

The Outlawz, CAS (Clean and Simple) challenge was to do a Fall Wedding card. I wanted to play with my airbrush, so I did a white piece of cardstock with a YG25 Copic. Then, I cut out an oval and did an embossed (Zing Leaf) sentiment. I stamped three leaves and colored with YG25, YR16, YR27 and E99 then added some Wink of Stella. Finally, three little dots and a swish around the edges with Frayed Burlap Distress Ink. CAS, nice and simple!

House Mouse Fall Float, CAS Merry Christmas

Mojo Monday, 365, had a tall and skinny design. I really didn't like the solid topper so I softened it with just leaves and my own melted bead accent. Instead of three descending banners, I did Merry Christmas in that space in the same kind of downward motion. So, I think I stayed within the spirit of the design.

A Facebook group for House Mouse Lovers asked for a card with a pumpkin. I don't have any stamps with my little mousies that have a pumpkin, so I just added a pumpkin and some leaves to Fall Float.
The pumpkin and the little guy are on foam lifts and the "HI" circle is edged with gold glitter glue.
